Mud pump is a popular concept for a wide range of pumps, but the pump type involved varies depending on different regions and habits. In most cases, mud pumps refer to the pumps used in the petroleum drilling industry.
Before starting the mud pump, please check whether the inlet and outlet pipes are blocked, whether the front and rear bearings are lubricated with grease, and whether the stuffing box is filled. During the operation of the mud pump, a high-pressure flushing water pump should be equipped to transport clean water with a pressure greater than that of the mud pump to protect the stuffing box. Do not turn off the flushing pump during the operation of the mud pump, otherwise, the sealing parts will wear quickly. The gap between the impeller and the casing has a great impact on the service life of the mud pump. If the gap is not reasonable, vibration and noise will be generated during the operation of the pump, and the overcurrent components will be quickly damaged. Therefore, when replacing the impeller, pay attention to ensuring that the gap meets the requirements of the drawing. The gap adjustment can be done by adjusting the screw on the rear bearing body. The allowable suction head of the mud pump is determined when transporting clean water. When pumping mud, the effect of mud on suction capacity should be considered.
The construction department should have special maintenance personnel responsible for the maintenance and repair of construction machinery. Regularly check and maintain the mud pump and other machinery, and promptly solve problems to avoid downtime. When constructing, pay attention to the size of sand and gravel particles. For large particles, check the vulnerable parts of the mud pump frequently to repair or replace them in time. The vulnerable parts of the mud pump mainly include the pump shell, bearings, impellers, etc. Adopting advanced wear-resistant measures to improve the service life of vulnerable parts can reduce the input of the project and improve production efficiency. At the same time, it is necessary to keep vulnerable spare parts available for timely replacement.
1. Pre-start inspection: all connection points should be tightened; the rotation direction of the electric motor should be correct; the clutch should be flexible and reliable; the pipeline should be connected firmly, sealed and the bottom valve effective.
2. Before starting the mud pump, the suction pipe, bottom valve, and pump body must be filled with water, and the upper end of the pressure gauge buffer should be filled with oil.
3. Rotate the piston back and forth twice manually, and start the pump with no load only when there is no blockage and the line insulation is good. After starting, gradually increase the load when it runs normally.
4. Pay attention to the sealing of all sealing devices during operation and adjust them if necessary. The pull rod and deputy rod should be lubricated frequently.
5. The mud content should not exceed 10% during operation.
6. To ensure reliable splash lubrication, mud pumps with multiple speeds should be operated at different speeds for no less than 30 seconds in each shift.
7. Changing speed during operation is strictly prohibited. When speed change is required, the pump should be stopped and shifted.
